Rome, the Italian capital and the city with the largest number of churches in the world. A city with a thousand-year history full of funny people like him!

Pre Wedding in Rome : Colosseum

They are Lawrence and Anna a married couple who decided to take the photos of the pre wedding with me. In reality, however, they are already married. So we could compare this service more to an Elopement than a pre wedding. Let’s start as usual with joy and lightheartedness. It is a beautiful day and the morning light romantically illuminates the bride and groom and the Colosseum.

The Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater is the largest Roman amphitheater in the world. It is the most important Roman amphitheater, as well as the most imposing monument of ancient Rome that has come down to us. A must for any elopement in Rome!

After a few warm-up photos, the newlyweds gain confidence and relax in front of the lens. The first smiles are not long in coming.

The day starts well with the newlyweds having a lot of fun!

From the Colosseum with a short walk we reach the Arch of Constantine.
The arch was dedicated by the Senate to commemorate the victory of Constantine I against Maxentius in the battle of Ponte Milvio (28 October 312) and inaugurated in 315 on the occasion of the ten years of the emperor’s reign. The arch is one of the three surviving triumphal arches in Rome and can be considered as a real official Roman sculpture museum, extraordinary for its richness and importance.

The spouses are now familiar with the camera and I no longer have to guide them, their photos are already spontaneous.

Pre Wedding in Rome : Castel Sant’Angelo

Whether it’s a Pre Wedding or an Elopement in Rome, one of the favorite stops of the spouses is always Castel Sant’Angelo.

Castel Sant’Angelo, also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian, is a monument of Rome, located on the right bank of the Tiber in front of the pons Aelius (current Ponte Sant’Angelo), a short distance from the Vatican. The castle has been radically modified several times in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
A small set of photos on Ponte Sant’Angelo is a must, with a view also of the dome of San Pietro. Here we also have fun taking some funny pictures.

A few strolls through the markets and we reach Via della Conciliazione, from which you can admire St. Peter’s Basilica, the heart of Christianity and the largest church in the world.

To continue our Pre Wedding photo shoot in Rome, we move with our driver to Piazza del Popolo: Rome is too big to cover it all on foot!
At this time of the morning the square is practically empty.

From Piazza del Popolo we easily reach Via Del Corso, the shopping street, where many shops capture the interest of Anna and Lawrence. From via del Corso we deviate to the inevitable Spanish Steps, one of the most famous and romantic points of Rome.

Through another short trip with our driver we reach the Trevi Fountain, the most romantic (and crowded) place in Rome.
The history of the fountain is closely linked to that of the restoration of the Aqua Virgo, or the Aqua Virgo aqueduct, which dates back to the time of Emperor Augustus. The aqueduct, which has been active for more than two thousand years, is almost twenty kilometers long, underground.

Our penultimate stop is the most visited monument in the world: the Pantheon.
The Pantheon is a building of ancient Rome built as a temple dedicated to all past, present and future divinities. It is composed of a circular structure surrounded by thick masonry walls and eight large pillars on which the weight of the characteristic hemispherical concrete dome is distributed, which houses at its apex a circular opening called oculus, which allows the illumination of the internal environment. Almost two millennia after its construction, the intrados dome of the Pantheon is still today one of the largest domes in the world.

Now the spouses do nothing but laugh and have fun, up to improvise a dance in front of the Pantheon!

The last stop of our Pre-Wedding in Rome is Piazza Navona, one of the most famous monumental squares in Rome, built in the monumental style by the Pamphili family at the behest of Pope Innocent X (Giovanni Battista Pamphili) with the typical shape of an ancient stadium.
The presence of many tourists does not seem to bother the newlyweds, who are now having a great time!
I am happy to have been chosen by this young couple as their Pre-Wedding photographer in Rome and to have been able to show them the beauties of the Eternal City.
